Halliburton has secured an integrated contract from bp for the first appraisal campaign at the Bumerangue field in deepwater offshore Brazil.
The contract, announced on 25 August 2026, covers drilling and reservoir evaluation services for bp’s discovery. Multiple services will be combined under an integrated execution model for the appraisal drilling programme.
The scope includes Halliburton’s drilling and evaluation services as well as LOGIX™ automation and remote operations. These systems will be deployed to support execution efficiency and consistency during the campaign.
The contract will also connect drilling, evaluation, software and digital capabilities across well planning, execution and reservoir evaluation. Data, AI and drilling technologies will provide real-time information to support the integrated workflow.
Francisco Tarazona, Halliburton senior vice president for Latin America, said the contract combines digital technologies, integrated service delivery and local expertise for deepwater operations.
