Dajin Heavy Industry has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Ardersier Port in Scotland, which is operated by Haventus, to jointly develop an offshore wind logistics hub.
The cooperation will combine Dajin Heavy Industry’s offshore wind engineering and supply-chain capabilities with Ardersier Port’s terminal infrastructure.
The two parties plan to focus on port infrastructure optimisation, global resource sharing and cross-industry collaboration. The cooperation is aimed at supporting fixed-bottom and floating offshore wind projects in the UK and the wider North Sea region.
The agreement follows Dajin Heavy Industry’s earlier partnership with the Port of Cuxhaven in Germany. The company described Ardersier Port as another logistics foothold for its activities in the European North Sea region.
Dajin Heavy Industry’s operations cover wind power equipment manufacturing, heavy-load shipping, foundation installation services and the development of overseas wind energy industrial hubs. The company is listed on the Shenzhen and Hong Kong stock markets.
Under the planned cooperation, Ardersier Port’s location and infrastructure will be combined with Dajin Heavy Industry’s in-house deck-carrier fleet and manufacturing capabilities to support offshore wind supply-chain activities across the British Isles.
