Dajin Heavy Industry has signed a memorandum of understanding with Ardersier Port in Scotland covering cooperation on offshore wind logistics and port-related activities.
The agreement will combine Dajin’s offshore wind activities with infrastructure at Ardersier, which is owned by Haventus. The parties plan to cooperate on port infrastructure optimisation, resource sharing and offshore wind supply-chain activities.
Dajin said the agreement follows its cooperation with the Port of Cuxhaven in Germany and adds Ardersier to its port relationships in the European North Sea region.
Ardersier Energy Transition Facility is located on the Moray Firth, 14 miles east of Inverness. The 450-acre site has access to the North Sea through a 160 m-wide channel dredged to 12.4 m CD.
Development of the facility includes a 659 m quay wall and a 420 m main quay. The site also provides areas for offshore wind marshalling, assembly, storage and manufacturing. Future development allows for more than 1 km of additional quay wall.
Ardersier’s redevelopment has been backed by Quantum Capital Group, which announced a £300 million capital commitment in 2023. Haventus later secured a £100 million joint credit facility in May 2024 from the Scottish National Investment Bank and UK Infrastructure Bank, with each institution providing £50 million.
The Ardersier agreement also follows Dajin Heavy Industry‘s listing in Hong Kong. Trading in the company’s H shares began on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on 5 June 2026 under stock code 1081.
The final offer price was HK$66.40 per share.
