CoreMarine has completed the disconnection and removal of Golar LNG’s Hilli Episeyo FLNG unit offshore Cameroon, clearing the vessel for its planned redeployment to Argentina.

The campaign ended Hilli Episeyo’s eight-year contract in Cameroon. Golar LNG reported in its Q2 2026 results that the FLNG completed the contract with 156 cargoes offloaded and is now repositioning to Singapore for modifications ahead of its next 20-year contract.

For the Cameroon removal campaign, CoreMarine provided project management, engineering, procurement and operational services covering the disconnection and departure of the FLNG.

With a nameplate liquefaction capacity of 2.45 million tonnes per annum, Hilli Episeyo will undergo upgrade and life-extension work at Seatrium in Singapore before its redeployment to Argentina.

Seatrium secured the upgrade contract from Golar Hilli Corporation, a subsidiary of Golar LNG, in August 2025. The scope includes engineering and procurement of long-lead items, repair and life-extension work, winterisation and installation of a new soft-yoke mooring system. The FLNG is scheduled to enter the yard in Q3 2026.

Following the Singapore work, Hilli Episeyo is scheduled to be deployed in Golfo San Matías, offshore Argentina. Seatrium said the vessel is set to recommence operations in 2027 under a 20-year deployment.

CoreMarine will also participate in the Argentina installation. The company and Jumbo Offshore have been awarded a contract by Southern Energy S.A. covering transport and installation of the soft-yoke (SSY) mooring systems and hook-up of Hilli Episeyo and MKII FLNG in Golfo San Matías.

Under that contract, CoreMarine is the lead contractor, while Jumbo Offshore will transport and install the SSY mooring systems, including heavy-lift and piling activities. CoreMarine will subsequently undertake diving and construction activities, including spool installation, ballasting, riser hook-up, pre-commissioning, positioning and hook-up of the two FLNG units.

Installation of Hilli Episeyo in Argentina is scheduled for 2027, followed by MKII FLNG in 2028.
