Cadeler has completed turbine installation at the 960 MW He Dreiht Offshore Wind Farm in the German North Sea, with Wind Keeper installing the final turbines under the company’s long-term contract with Vestas.

The installation campaign involved two Cadeler offshore wind installation vessels. Wind Orca began work in April 2025, before Wind Keeper took over the remaining installation scope in the first quarter of 2026.

The project was Wind Keeper’s first offshore wind installation campaign since the vessel joined the Cadeler fleet after its acquisition and upgrade.

Developed by EnBW, He Dreiht comprises 64 Vestas V236-15.0 MW wind turbines. The project is the first commercial-scale installation of the V236-15.0 MW turbine.

Once fully operational, the wind farm is expected to generate enough renewable electricity to supply approximately 1.1 million households.

Wind Keeper is equipped with a 2,200 t main crane and supports offshore wind installation as well as operations and maintenance activities through Cadeler’s Nexra service platform.

The He Dreiht Offshore Wind Farm is located approximately 90 km northwest of Borkum and around 110 km west of Helgoland in the German North Sea.
