A subsidiary of SeaBird Exploration has secured a contract for a 2D seismic survey offshore India, SED Energy Holdings Plc said on 06 July.

The survey will be carried out by Eagle Explorer. The vessel is expected to begin mobilization in mid-July and remain utilized through the first half of 2027.

The contract adds to SeaBird Exploration‘s activity in India and provides further visibility for the vessel’s utilization into 2027.

SeaBird Exploration said the award strengthens its backlog. The company also linked demand for 2D seismic data in the region to energy security and resource development activity.

The company said it continues to see demand for its services in India and the broader Asia-Pacific region.
