Acta Marine has taken delivery of Acta Gemini, a new Walk-to-Work DP2 Construction Service Operation Vessel built by Tersan Shipyard in Yalova, Turkey.

The vessel is the third unit in a four-vessel newbuild program and forms part of Acta Marine’s plan to modernize its fleet for the offshore energy market. It follows the earlier deliveries of Acta Pegasus and Acta Hercules.

After mobilization, Acta Gemini will start a long-term charter for RWE at the Sofia Offshore Wind Farm on Dogger Bank, UK. Operating from Grimsby, the vessel will provide offshore accommodation and walk-to-work support for operations and maintenance work at the wind farm.

Acta Gemini can accommodate up to 88 personnel. It is equipped with an offshore access system, a helideck, and a daughter craft to support safe technician transfers to offshore installations.

The vessel also features methanol dual-fuel main engines and is methanol-ready, supporting Acta Marine’s lower-emission pathway as regulations and market requirements develop.

Acta Marine CEO Rob Boer said the delivery, together with RWE’s long-term charter commitment, reflects client confidence in the company’s fleet and services. He added that Acta Gemini builds on the platform established by Acta Pegasus and Acta Hercules and strengthens Acta Marine’s role in offshore wind.

The final sister vessel, Acta Aquarius, is scheduled to follow later in 2026.
