CRP Subsea has secured a contract from Seaway 7 to supply cable protection systems for the East Anglia Two offshore wind project in the North Sea.

Under the agreement, CRP Subsea will provide 142 NjordGuard cable protection systems for the project’s inter-array cables connected to wind turbines.

The systems are designed to protect cables against over-bending, abrasion and fatigue during installation and throughout operational service.

According to the company, three NjordGuard configurations will be engineered to support installation requirements for both monopile and J-tube interface designs.

Manufacturing will take place at CRP Subsea’s production facility in northwest England, which includes a semi-automated production line aimed at increasing manufacturing capacity.

Engineering work on the project is set to begin immediately, with final deliveries scheduled for February 2027.

East Anglia Two forms part of the wider East Anglia Hub development, which also includes East Anglia One North and East Anglia Three.

The offshore wind farm is located 46 km off Lowestoft and 113 km from the Netherlands in the North Sea. The project is planned to include up to 64 wind turbines across an area of 218 sq km, with generation capacity expected to reach 960 MW.
