China’s Offshore Oil Engineering Company (COOEC) has launched an offshore jacket bound for Saudi Aramco’s Abu Safah field, advancing the project from yard fabrication into the offshore transportation and installation phase.

The company said the structure was designed and built in China before the launch, a standard milestone that typically follows completion of primary steelwork, coating, and pre-shipment checks for fixed-platform substructures.
