Windcat and Ørsted have signed contracts for seven crew transfer vessels supporting offshore wind operations from Grimsby.

The agreements began in June with a firm five-year term and include options for extensions. All seven vessels were already operating on Ørsted’s UK offshore wind projects before the new contracts took effect.

The fleet comprises four vessels with capacity for 12 passengers and three vessels able to carry 24 passengers.

Ørsted operates and maintains six offshore wind farms from its Generation UK Hub at Grimsby’s Royal Docks.
