Wind Multiplikator has been renamed Semco Maritime Offshore Wind Service GmbH, marking a further step in its integration with Semco Maritime following the acquisition in June 2023.
The change places the offshore wind service activities under the Semco Maritime brand and aligns the company’s market presence and organisational structure.
The combined service offering covers offshore engineering and project execution, turbine services, offshore substation operations and maintenance, and major component exchange. Refurbishment and overhaul services will continue through the Service Hub in Emden.
Customers will have one point of contact across these activities. The structure is intended to limit supplier interfaces, simplify coordination and support more efficient planning and execution.
Thomas Thomsen, Senior Vice President, Renewables at Semco Maritime, said the renaming followed three years of collaboration, organisational alignment and preparation after the acquisition. He said the companies had combined their offshore wind capabilities and industry expertise within one service organisation.
Stephen Booth, Managing Director of Semco Maritime Offshore Wind Service, said the delivery model brings turbine, offshore substation, component exchange and overhaul services into a single structure with clearer responsibility for project execution.
The name change will not affect current contracts, agreements, commitments, legal structures or customer contacts.
