ReCAAP ISC reported two security incidents involving bulk carriers in the Singapore Strait from 2-8 June, with no crew injuries and one case involving stolen service kits and a DG turbo charger.

Golden Star 1 sank about 6 km off Batam after reportedly taking on water. All nine crew members were rescued, while traffic in the Malacca and Singapore straits remains unaffected.

CAPE XL and HUGE KUMANO collided near Singapore’s eastern anchorage area, with hull damage reported and no confirmed injuries or major pollution.
