Shearwater has been issued Letters of Award by Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) for two offshore 3D seismic surveys in India, representing approximately 15 vessel months in the company’s backlog.

Two high-capacity 3D seismic vessels will be deployed for the work. The larger scope covers a nine-month survey off India’s West coast, while a second six-month campaign will take place off the East coast.

Survey operations are scheduled to start in early fourth-quarter 2026. The awards provide vessel utilisation visibility into 2027.

Both projects remain at the Letter of Award stage. Final contract execution is expected during the third quarter of 2026.

Shearwater has maintained a presence in India since 2016 and has an existing relationship with ONGC.
