OneSubsea has secured two contracts from Vår Energi for subsea infrastructure at the Goliat and Balder fields offshore Norway.

The first contract covers the design and supply of gas export infrastructure for the Goliat FPSO in the Barents Sea. The equipment will support a connection between Goliat, the Snøhvit system and the Melkøya LNG plant.

Gas produced at Goliat is currently reinjected into the reservoir. The new export infrastructure will provide an alternative route for the gas and is intended to support continued production from the field.

The second award forms part of the Balder Next New Wells project in the central North Sea. OneSubsea’s scope includes four well systems using single-can satellite configurations and the associated umbilical systems.

The four well systems covered by the contract are part of the wider first phase of Balder Next New Wells, which comprises seven new wells connected to the Jotun FPSO.

The two contracts involve OneSubsea’s subsea production, umbilical and cable, and processing systems operations. The equipment scope also includes multiphase meters.

OneSubsea said the awards followed feasibility work completed through its existing collaboration with Vår Energi.
