Jadestone Energy has brought the second well in its 2026 Malaysia infill drilling campaign into production at 2,800 bopd.

The EBA-07ST1 well follows the first well in the programme, which reached a peak production rate of approximately 3,200 bopd, as announced on 24 June 2026.

EBA-07ST1 was drilled approximately 13% below budget. The extended-reach well includes a 930 m horizontal reservoir section and reached a total measured depth of 5,473 m.

The well is the longest drilled to date at the East Belumut field, where Jadestone Energy holds a 60% interest. It exceeds the length of the first well in the 2026 campaign by 600 m.

With an ERD ratio of 4.1, EBA-07ST1 also set a Malaysia record for extreme-reach drilling, according to the company.

The first two wells have increased production from East Belumut by more than 150%, equivalent to an increase of approximately 6,000 bopd.

Following the results from the first two wells, Jadestone Energy proceeded with a third contingent well. Drilling and completion work on that well has recently concluded, with results to be announced later.
