The successful candidate will oversee cargo loading, discharge, lifting and transportation activities at Malaysian ports and project sites. Responsibilities include coordinating with vessel crews, terminal operators, crane operators, stevedores and heavy-haulage contractors to ensure safe and efficient cargo handling.
The role also involves reviewing lifting plans and method statements, monitoring HSE compliance, resolving operational issues and maintaining cargo handling reports. It requires extensive field involvement and close coordination with port authorities and project stakeholders.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in port operations, project logistics, heavy-lift, breakbulk or OOG cargo handling.
- Practical experience working at Malaysian ports and coordinating cargo operations.
- Ability to interpret lifting plans, cargo plans and method statements.
- Strong understanding of lifting equipment, cargo securing and port HSE procedures.
- Willingness to work on-site and support operations outside regular working hours when required.
