Boskalis has installed inter-array cables for a 496 MW offshore wind farm in France using its cable-laying vessel Ndurance.

The vessel installed 31 inter-array cables over the past few weeks, linking the wind turbines to the project’s offshore substation.

Ndurance carried out the work after an operational period in Taiwan. Before the French campaign, the vessel loaded the project cable in Greece and then mobilized to Europe for the installation work.

Boskalis said the loading arrangement in Greece helped improve the efficiency of the vessel’s mobilization and supported the wind farm’s development schedule.
