The DNV-classed BBC KIBO has a summer deadweight of 9,282 tonnes. The vessel measures 125.8 m in length with a moulded breadth of 22.0 m and a maximum summer draft of 7.6 m.

For cargo operations, BBC KIBO is equipped with NMF cranes with a lifting capacity of 2 x 350 t. The vessel also has a cargo hold capacity of 13,119 cbm and a container intake of 660 TEU.
