Aker Solutions has secured a five-year engineering, maintenance and operations support agreement with Cenovus Energy for White Rose offshore assets in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.

The White Rose field is located about 350 km east of St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, on the eastern edge of the Jeanne d’Arc Basin. The agreement covers engineering, maintenance and operations support for the West White Rose platform and the SeaRose floating production, storage and offloading vessel.

Aker Solutions said it will use its multidisciplinary Project Execution Model to support safe, predictable and cost-efficient operations under the agreement.

The company has provided offshore engineering services to the White Rose field since 2005. Its previous scope has included Concrete Gravity Structure tow-out and installation, onshore commissioning, and offshore hookup and commissioning for the West White Rose platform, which is expected to start production in 2026.

Aker Solutions has also delivered EPCM services for the SeaRose FPSO since 2005, including onshore engineering, procurement and work preparation for the vessel’s Life Extension Drydock campaign in 2024.

The work will be led from Aker Solutions‘ office in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, with around 120 employees involved across onshore and offshore activities.

The contract will be booked as order intake in the second quarter of 2026 in Aker Solutions‘ Life Cycle segment. The company defines a sizeable contract as being valued between NOK 0.5 billion and NOK 1.5 billion.
