Copenhagen, 18 September 2025Cadeler has signed a firm agreement with Ocean Winds to transport and install 26 Siemens Gamesa 14 MW wind turbines at the BC-Wind offshore wind farm in Poland’s Baltic Sea.

The deal follows a vessel reservation agreement concluded earlier this year. Once operational, BC-Wind will add 390 MW of clean energy capacity, enough to supply nearly 500,000 Polish households with renewable electricity.

Located about 23 kilometers off the Pomeranian coast, the project will begin installation in 2028, with the offshore campaign expected to last around four months. Cadeler will employ one of its O-class wind turbine installation vessels, with operations staged from the Port of Gdańsk.

This marks the first direct contract between Cadeler and Ocean Winds, though the companies have previously collaborated on offshore wind developments elsewhere.

Cadeler’s CEO Mikkel Gleerup said the contract underscores Poland’s strategic role in Europe’s offshore wind growth and reflects Cadeler’s long-term commitment to the Polish market.

The BC-Wind project further strengthens Cadeler’s presence in the country, adding to a growing portfolio that already includes the Baltic Power project (1.2 GW), Baltica 2 with Ørsted and PGE, and the Bałtyk 2 & 3 wind farms.
