NextGeo will open a new office in Bremen, Germany, by the end of 2026, expanding its presence in the country with a focus on marine and underwater activities.
The new office will cover subsea infrastructure and geoscience as well as ocean and advanced underwater technologies. Its areas of activity will range from subsea cables to defence and security.
Bremen’s location within the North Sea maritime cluster provides access to a community spanning maritime businesses, research, infrastructure and expertise across offshore and underwater fields. The city also has a growing marine technology community.
Two industry professionals will lead NextGeo‘s activities in Bremen. Marco Filippone will serve as Director Underwater, Strategy & Technology. He has more than 25 years of international experience in maritime operations, marine technology, hydrography, ocean science and geospatial data.
Malte Cesson will serve as Director, Telecom Cables. His 28 years in the survey and geospatial industry include 12 years in senior commercial and business development roles with his previous employer. His experience also covers offshore infrastructure and subsea cables.
The Bremen office will operate within an environment covering collaboration, research and development, innovation and advanced underwater technologies.
