Solstad Maritime ASA has announced a two-year Petrobras contract for the construction support vessel Normand Valiant, carrying a gross value of approximately $62 million.
The new assignment is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026. It will follow the vessel’s existing contract and a class renewal.
Normand Valiant will be used to provide accommodation for production operations on the Brazilian continental shelf.
The vessel is a smaller construction vessel fitted with a walk-to-work gangway system. It has capacity to accommodate 120 people.
During the assignment, Normand Valiant will be bareboat chartered by Solstad Maritime ASA to Solstad Offshore ASA.
Solstad Offshore ASA holds the contract with Petrobras.
