Wind Power LAB (WPL) has appointed Lene Hellstern as Chief Executive Officer, the company said. The business provides automated services and technical consulting related to wind turbines and blades.
Hellstern brings more than 24 years of experience across global onshore and offshore wind markets. Her background includes building and leading technical teams, delivering complex projects, and applying technical expertise to operational and commercial solutions. She has been involved in wind farm development, led technical asset management teams, and contributed to O&M strategies focused on performance and long-term value.
WPL said Hellstern is recognised for expertise in wind resource assessment, production estimates, site suitability and root cause analysis of operational challenges, as well as a data-driven approach to decision-making in complex operating environments.
David Fletcher, Chief Executive Officer of GEV Group, said Hellstern’s technical experience and collaborative leadership align with WPL’s next phase, referencing blade risk assessment, turbine management and consulting. Hellstern said she looks forward to working with the team and pointed to risk-adjusted maintenance and technical innovation to optimise performance, reduce costs and support onshore and offshore projects.
