CNOOD-Wenchong Heavy Industries (CWHI) has announced the arrival of a second shipment of eight XXL monopiles for the Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm. The components were transported aboard the ZHENHUA 33 and unloaded at the Port of Leith, following an initial delivery completed in October.

CWHI reported that the latest shipment aligns with the project’s delivery sequence and reflects the company’s continued adherence to scheduled transport for the development. The monopiles, manufactured at CWHI’s Qinzhou Yard, reach up to 11.5 m in diameter and weigh as much as 2,300 t, forming part of the foundations required for the wind farm.

Dale Young, Chief Development Officer, stated that the steady progress demonstrates the efforts of the teams involved and the cooperation with partners to achieve safe, on-time delivery. CWHI also expressed appreciation to COSCO Shipping Heavy Transport, Forth Ports Limited and project teams supporting the transport and unloading activities associated with the Inch Cape development.
