Ventura Offshore will continue operating its SSV Catarina semi-submersible drilling rig in Indonesia after Eni Muara Bakau B.V. exercised an option covering the fourth optional well and top hole work.

The option was exercised by Eni Muara Bakau B.V., a subsidiary of Searah Limited, the joint venture between Eni and PETRONAS.

Following the award, Ventura Offshore expects SSV Catarina to remain on contract through the fourth quarter of 2026.

The company said the additional scope will add approximately $25.1 million to its firm backlog.
