Nexans has launched the hull of its cable-laying vessel Nexans Electra at Ulstein Verft, moving the project into the outfitting phase before commissioning, testing and seatrials ahead of its planned 2026 delivery.

Nexans has set a new record at its Halden plant in Norway as the cable-laying vessel Nexans Aurora departs with 9,731 tons of cable — the largest single load in the company’s history, exceeding its 2023 milestone by 256 tons.
