Late-January storms worsened cracking and buckling on the grounded MSC Baltic III near Lark Harbor, Newfoundland. Salvors found heavy icing; nearly 1,700 tonnes of fuel and most containers were removed.

BW Offshore is preparing to begin FEED in early 2026 for the Bay du Nord FPSO after completing pre-FEED work and entering a bridging phase aimed at maturing the technical and commercial basis of the project.

The grounded container ship MSC Baltic III has sustained damage amid strong winds and rough seas on Newfoundland’s west coast. The Canadian Coast Guard confirmed movement in the vessel and debris washing ashore.

Eight months after grounding in Newfoundland, the MSC Baltic III remains in Cedar Cove as crews remove fuel, cargo, and prepare the vessel for winter, according to the Canadian Coast Guard.
