Seatrium has delivered a next-generation WTIV to Maersk Offshore Wind. The vessel targets 15+ MW turbines, carries a 1,900-tonne crane, and is set to sail in March 2026 for the Empire Wind assignment off New York.

Seatrium unit SEI and Maersk affiliate PHOENIX II A/S have entered London arbitration over a cancelled $475 million WTIV for Empire Wind 1, with SEI seeking rulings on wrongful termination and contract validity.

Singapore’s Seatrium has received a notice of arbitration from Maersk Offshore Wind after a US $475 million WTIV contract termination. The 98.9%-complete vessel was intended for Empire Wind 1 off New York.

Maersk Offshore Wind has terminated its $475 million Wind Turbine Installation Vessel (WTIV) construction contract with Singapore’s Seatrium. The move comes as the vessel nears completion, triggering commercial and legal implications for both companies.
