Germany commissioned 1,077MW of offshore wind capacity in H1 2026, taking its installed fleet to 10.8GW as industry groups called for changes to the auction framework.

Germany’s BSH has proposed changes to North Sea offshore wind sites, auction schedules and grid connection routes under the 2025 site development plan.
