China Three Gorges has connected the first five turbines at the 2 GW Qingzhou V and VII offshore wind projects in Guangdong, commissioning a ±500 kV HVDC transmission system to deliver electricity to shore.
China Three Gorges’ 800 MW Jiangsu Rudong offshore wind project has generated and delivered more than 10 TWh of electricity since reaching full operation in 2021.
