China Three Gorges’ 800 MW Jiangsu Rudong offshore wind project has generated and delivered more than 10 TWh of electricity since reaching full operation in 2021.

China has installed Three Gorges Pilot, a 16 MW floating offshore wind turbine off Yangjiang, supported by a semi-submersible platform and new mooring system.

China has installed what is billed as the world’s first 20 MW offshore wind turbine in the Minnan sea area off Fujian, over 30 km from shore, delivering more than 80 GWh a year and cutting CO₂ emissions by about 64,000 tonnes.
