Smulders has reported the load-out of the OSS Zingst and OSS Darß jackets for 50Hertz’s OST-6-1 grid connection, which will transmit power from the 927 MW Gennaker Offshore Wind Farm.
Siemens Energy and Neptun Smulders Offshore Renewables have won a 50Hertz contract to deliver the 2 GW North Sea Connector 2 grid connection system.
50Hertz has installed the Jasmund offshore substation at a 300MW Baltic Sea wind farm. The platform will step up Ostwind 3 power to 220 kilovolts and forms the TSO’s first fully owned offshore asset in the Baltic.
The OSS Jasmund topside and jacket have completed load-out and are prepared for transportation to the Baltic Sea. The 4,500-ton topside and 72m jacket were built by HSM Offshore Energy and Smulders with support from a tailor-made grillage.
