Subsea7 has been awarded an EPCI contract by Vår Energi for the Goliat Gas Export Project in the Barents Sea offshore Norway.

The project is intended to enable gas exports from the Goliat field to the Hammerfest LNG plant at Melkøya through the existing Snøhvit pipeline system.

Under the contract scope, Subsea7 will carry out engineering, procurement, construction and installation activities for a 12.7 km, 10-inch uninsulated carbon steel pipeline. The work also includes installation of associated subsea infrastructure required to connect the gas export system safely and reliably.

Project management and engineering activities will begin immediately from Subsea7’s office in Stavanger, Norway, while offshore operations are scheduled for 2027–2028.

The contract also marks the first project awarded under the recently established strategic partnership agreement between Subsea7 and Vår Energi, highlighting an expanded working relationship between the two companies focused on early collaboration and project execution.
