In a notice issued on 8 January, Hanwha Ocean said the incident involved a worker assigned to the PAS Plant and confirmed that the company is working to clarify how the event unfolded while cooperating with the official inquiry.

According to the company, the employee was found unresponsive in a personal rest area during the early morning hours. A colleague discovered the worker, started CPR at the scene, and arranged urgent transfer to a nearby hospital, where emergency treatment continued.

The worker was later confirmed dead at the hospital. Hanwha Ocean added that details of the circumstances and the precise cause of the incident have not yet been established and remain under investigation.
