Taipei, Taiwan — The DEME Group has announced a major construction milestone at Taiwan’s Hai Long 2 Offshore Wind Farm, with its local joint venture CDWE (CDWE Construction Co., Ltd.) completing the installation of all 37 wind turbines.

The milestone follows the completion of all jacket foundations for both the Hai Long 2 and Hai Long 3 Offshore Wind Farms in August 2025. CDWE, a partnership between DEME Offshore and Taiwanese firm CSBC Corporation, is responsible for the engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) scope of the project.

The Hai Long 2 installation campaign was carried out in collaboration with Employer Hai Long Offshore Wind, alongside key project partners Shimizu Corporation and Siemens Gamesa, the turbine supplier.

With turbine installation now complete, the project marks a critical step toward advancing Taiwan’s offshore wind energy capacity, contributing to the country’s transition toward a low-carbon future.

DEME confirmed that CDWE’s next major phase will be the installation of 36 turbines at the Hai Long 3 Offshore Wind Farm, scheduled for 2026.

In a statement, DEME said the achievement “demonstrates the strength of collaboration between European and Taiwanese offshore engineering teams,” adding that CDWE remains committed to “driving excellence and supporting Taiwan’s clean energy transition.”
