The contracts also cover remotely operated vehicle (ROV) services. The identity of the customer has not been disclosed.

The two vessels are due to depart for the CARICOM region shortly.

DOF classified the combined contract value as significant, corresponding to a value range of between $15 million and $25 million.

The awards follow a separate letter of award secured by DOF for a four-year contract that also includes ROV services. That contract is valued between $100 million and $200 million.
