Clarkson Port Services Secures OranjeWind Port Agency Contract

OranjeWind, the joint venture between RWE and TotalEnergies, has awarded Clarkson Port Services BV a Port & Agency Services contract for the construction and commissioning of the OranjeWind offshore wind farm in the Netherlands.

Under the agreement, Clarkson Port Services BV will manage port calls in Den Helder, Rotterdam and Eemshaven during the project phase.

Monopiles and secondary steel structures will be loaded out from Rotterdam, while turbine loadouts will take place in Eemshaven.

The Port of Den Helder will serve as the marshalling port for bi-weekly service operation vessel calls and crew transfer vessel calls.

Clarkson Port Services BV will also provide agency services at the project locations to support the movement of goods, materials, equipment and personnel in accordance with applicable regulations and legislation.

The 795 MW OranjeWind offshore wind farm will be located 53 km west of IJmuiden in the Netherlands’ exclusive economic zone in the North Sea.

The project will comprise 53 Vestas V236-15 MW turbines installed on transition piece-free monopile foundations.
