Cadeler has completed the installation of the final offshore wind turbine at Taiwan’s Greater Changhua 2b and 4 offshore wind farms, developed by Ørsted.
The completion closes Cadeler’s wind turbine installation campaign for the projects, covering all 66 Siemens Gamesa SG 14-236 offshore wind turbines. The work was executed by the M-class wind turbine installation vessel Wind Maker.
Once fully operational later this year, the wind farms will deliver 920 MW of clean offshore wind capacity, supporting Taiwan’s energy transition ambitions.
Wind Maker was delivered to Cadeler from a shipyard in Korea in January 2025 and went straight into deployment following mobilisation. The vessel is the first of two M-class wind installation vessels in Cadeler’s newbuild portfolio, with sister vessel Wind Mover delivered to the company in November 2025.
The M-class vessels are engineered to install next-generation offshore wind turbines and foundations safely and efficiently. Built for demanding offshore conditions, they are designed to operate at challenging wind installation sites worldwide.
