Prism Logistics has completed the transportation of two coke chambers for a petrochemical project in Eastern India. Each unit measured approximately 36 meters in length, 10 meters in diameter, and weighed more than 400 metric tons.
The move involved a multimodal logistics operation spanning about 2,000 kilometers from India’s western coast to the project location. The operation included river transport, dredging, road reinforcement, and a mid-sea cargo transfer between vessels.
A 100-meter inclined bypass was constructed to enable roll-on and roll-off movements. The heavy units were handled using Goldhofer self-propelled modular transporters (SPMTs) and 500-horsepower prime movers to ensure accurate positioning during the inland segment.

The project also featured a high-sea transfer using a 3,000+ metric ton lifting crane, shifting the coke chambers from an ocean vessel to a river barge for the inland leg. Each stage was coordinated between marine and road logistics teams for schedule alignment and cargo integrity.
According to Prism Logistics, the entire transport was completed without incident. The company stated that the operation was part of a larger logistics scope supporting petrochemical development activities in Eastern India.
