Subsea7 has announced the award of a major contract from Saudi Aramco for offshore work in Saudi waters. The scope covers engineering, procurement, construction and installation of around 106 kilometres of infield and export pipelines, as well as modifications to existing topside facilities and related hook-up activities.
Engineering and project management will commence immediately from Subsea7’s offices in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, with offshore execution planned between 2027 and 2028. According to Subsea7, a “major” award reflects a contract value ranging from US$750 million to US$1.25 billion.
David Bertin, Senior Vice President of Subsea7’s Global Projects Centre East, highlighted the award as another milestone in the company’s collaboration with Aramco, noting the focus on delivering the project safely and efficiently to the highest standards.
