ADNOC has deployed a new mega offshore production platform to the Umm Shaif field, the company’s oldest offshore asset. The structure was fabricated in Abu Dhabi by NMDC Energy and is part of a wider offshore development program.

More than 200 UAE-based suppliers contributed to the construction, highlighting the scale of local industrial involvement. The platform itself weighs more than the Eiffel Tower, underscoring the engineering effort required for its completion.

By transporting the platform to Umm Shaif, ADNOC continues to expand offshore production capacity while strengthening the role of local companies in its supply chain. This approach supports the company’s long-term plan to enhance domestic value creation and ensure reliable energy production.
