Mein Schiff 3 was damaged in a Bremerhaven collision involving two berthed MSC containerships on 25 October 2026, prompting TUI Cruises to cancel its Canary Islands sailing. German ship-safety authorities prohibited all three vessels from leaving port.

Bremen Police placed the incident at around 17:30 near Stromkaje. In its 26 October update, the force said a gust caught the departing cruise ship while tugs were assisting it, sending it towards the two moored vessels.

The containerships were identified in maritime reporting as MSC Victorine and MSC Anne F. Police described substantial damage to the larger ship and minor damage to the smaller vessel.

The larger containership’s port-side hull was torn over several metres, with deformation also affecting its container guides. Police located the damage several metres clear of the water. The cruise ship suffered substantial damage to its lifeboats, their handling cranes and its outer hull.

No injuries or flooding aboard any of the three ships were reported by police. Mein Schiff 3 abandoned its departure and returned to the cruise terminal.

According to Seatrade Cruise News, TUI Cruises said an inspection by technical personnel and specialists had identified damage requiring urgent shipyard repairs. The operator cancelled the planned three-week Canary Islands voyage. Passengers stayed aboard overnight. The Maritime Executive reported that the operator was still assessing the impact on subsequent departures.

German media figures cited by Seatrade put the number aboard at 2,428 passengers and 922 crew. The Malta-registered Mein Schiff 3 was built in 2014 and is operated by TUI Cruises. The Maritime Executive gave its length as 293 metres and gross tonnage as 99,526.

The same report described MSC Victorine as a 366-metre vessel of 203,855 dwt, while MSC Anne F was listed at 11,800 dwt and 964 TEU.

Bremen Police said the water police investigation was continuing.
