Hanwha Ocean expanded its offshore wind business in the first half of 2026 by establishing four overseas subsidiaries as it broadened its activities across the offshore wind power value chain.
In Singapore, the company established Ocean Wind Power Holdings and Ocean Wind Power 1 to focus on offshore wind turbine installation vessel (WTIV) ownership and operations. The two entities will manage Hanwha Ocean‘s WTIV assets and support offshore wind project development in global markets.
The company also revised its articles of incorporation in March 2026. Renewable energy development, equipment installation and operation, power sales and offshore wind project consulting were added to its formal business objectives.
The changes extend Hanwha Ocean‘s business scope beyond its traditional shipbuilding and defense sectors. Its offshore wind activities now cover power generation, equipment installation and operation, electricity sales and related project development.
The four overseas subsidiaries established during the first half of 2025, together with the amended business objectives, form part of Hanwha Ocean‘s offshore wind expansion.
