Cadeler has signed firm contracts with COSCO Shipping Offshore shipyard in Qidong, China, for two new T-class offshore wind installation vessels scheduled for delivery in 2030 and 2031.

The two-vessel contract is valued at approximately EUR 805 million in aggregate. Cadeler secured equity financing for the investment earlier in 2026 as part of its long-term fleet expansion strategy.

The T-class vessels are being designed for increasingly complex offshore wind installation projects, with a focus on efficiency, versatility and operational capability.

The orders continue Cadeler’s existing relationship with COSCO Shipping Offshore, which has already constructed several vessels under the company’s newbuild programme.

Mikkel Gleerup, CEO of Cadeler, said the company is investing in vessel capabilities intended to meet the requirements of larger and more technically demanding offshore wind projects. He also referred to the companies’ established working relationship and COSCO Shipping Offshore’s understanding of Cadeler’s requirements.

The two T-class vessels will form part of Cadeler’s long-term fleet expansion strategy. The company said it is already in discussions with key clients regarding deployment of the vessels.
