Iskra Shipyard, 3. Maj Shipyard and Fincantieri have continued discussions on possible cooperation in naval shipbuilding and maritime projects following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding.
Roko Vuletić, Ph.D., Chief Executive Officer of Iskra Shipyard and 3. Maj Shipyard, welcomed Mauro Manzini of Fincantieri and Daniele Zaccagnino to the Croatian shipyard for meetings and a review of the facility.
The talks examined the shipyard’s capabilities and potential areas for joint activity. The MoU provides the three companies with a framework to assess future cooperation.
According to Iskra Shipyard, the parties are considering how Croatian shipbuilding expertise and available industrial capacity could contribute to future naval programmes.
The discussions also covered technical cooperation and the possible participation of Croatian facilities in wider maritime activities involving international partners.
No specific projects, investment amounts or contract values were announced during the meeting.
The site visit marked a further stage in the discussions opened under the MoU, with the companies continuing to assess practical areas where their shipbuilding resources and expertise could be combined.
