Roll Group has completed a heavy transport and load-out operation at Seatrium’s Admiralty Yard in Singapore, supporting Seatrium with the movement of a 2,500-tonne Deck Support Frame (DSF) and the subsequent topside weighing, jacking and final load-out.
The project included engineering and execution of the DSF transport operation, covering mooring, ballasting, grillage and seafastening. The scope also involved the deployment of self-propelled modular transporters (SPMTs), ballast equipment, RoRo ramps, fenders and winches.
After the barge was relocated between quay locations, the project team positioned the 2,500-tonne DSF beneath the topside. Following integration of the topside and the DSF, the combined structure reached 15,000 tonnes before the final load-out phase.
The final stage involved engineering and execution of the topside load-out. Roll Group used breakout jacks and strand jack systems for both the load-out and retrieval operations while also carrying out the mooring engineering and calculations required for the heavy transport vessel.
