Adura Operations, the incorporated joint venture between Shell and Equinor, has awarded further seismic work to Shearwater GeoServices in the UK North Sea.
The Norwegian seismic contractor will conduct a 4D towed streamer seismic acquisition survey at the Mariner field. The one-month campaign is scheduled to begin in July and will use Shearwater GeoServices’ Isometrix multi-component streamer technology.
The survey scope includes the potential for an undershoot operation to improve imaging and maintain continuous coverage around field infrastructure.
Shearwater GeoServices said the award continues its long-standing work at Mariner and supports further optimisation of the complex, long-life asset. The company also said reservoir monitoring at producing fields is important for extending field life, improving production, and supporting energy security.
The contract follows another recent award from Adura Operations, under which Shearwater GeoServices was selected to acquire approximately 220 km² of seismic data at the Jackdaw field.
Adura Operations was established in December 2025 by combining Shell and Equinor’s offshore oil and gas operations on the UK Continental Shelf. The joint venture holds interests in 12 producing assets and projects in execution, including Mariner, Rosebank, Buzzard, Shearwater, Penguins, Gannet, Nelson, Pierce, Jackdaw, Victory, Clair, and Schiehallion.
