Germany-based United Heavy Lift completed the transport of two Konecranes Gottwald ESP 5 mobile harbor cranes to NorthPort, the Philippines’ busiest domestic gateway operated by ICTSI. Their arrival supports NorthPort’s response to rising domestic cargo volumes and the need to maintain fast vessel turnaround while ensuring operational reliability.

Each crane provides a 41-ton lifting capacity with a 46 m outreach across 13 bays and will be deployed at Pier 10 as part of NorthPort’s modernization program. The additional equipment increases the port’s capacity during peak periods by enabling more simultaneous vessel operations.

The cranes arrived on 19 November and are undergoing testing and commissioning before entering commercial service in December.
