Aker BP has extended its use of the Floatel Endurance, securing the semi-submersible accommodation unit for a series of offshore assignments planned across multiple years. The vessel is currently deployed at the White Rose field offshore Canada and will transfer to Aker BP operations in February 2026.
According to the companies, the unit will support the Skarv development first before shifting to the Yggdrasil project. The arrangement includes optional periods that allow the flotel to remain with Aker BP through the first half of 2028.
Floatel International also confirmed that Aker BP has booked the vessel for 2029, when Floatel Endurance will provide accommodation and construction support for the Alvheim FPSO.
Chief executive Peter Jacobsson welcomed the continued partnership, noting the importance of being selected again for a major offshore programme.
Floatel International operates four large semi-submersible flotels, all of which were fully utilised during the third quarter of 2025 in Norway, Australia and Brazil.
