Okaoge Signs Foundation Installation Contract with Kajima

Japanese offshore wind developer Okaoge has signed a contract with Kajima Corporation for turbine foundation installation for its 315 MW offshore wind project off the coast of Akita Prefecture.

Japanese offshore wind developer Okaoge has announced that it has signed a contract on October 23 with Kajima Corporation for the manufacturing, procurement, transportation, and installation of offshore wind turbine foundations for its project off the coasts of Oga City, Katagami City and Akita City in Akita Prefecture.

The company explains that this contract covers the core construction of the wind turbine foundations and “marks an important milestone as the project enters its full-scale construction phase”.

Okaoge emphasizes its commitment to “carry out the works with careful attention to safety, quality, and environmental considerations.” The commercial operation of this offshore wind farm is scheduled for June 2028.
