VARD launched NB 977, the first hybrid OECV for Island Offshore, at its Brăila yard on 9 February. The 120 m vessel will support IMR, subsea construction and offshore operations.

VARD has signed with Ocean Infinity to design and build four robotic MPVs. The deal exceeds 200 million euros and includes SeaQ systems, interiors scope, and a LARS package.

VARD has completed towing the aftship of hull 969 for NKT from Brăila to Tulcea, advancing assembly of a 23,000-tonne next-generation offshore cable-laying vessel equipped with dual-fuel engines.
